On the outskirts of Limassol, out of the hustle and bustle of the busy city lies Molly Malones, which offers a great taste of all things Irish. With a nice warm atmosphere and with the temperatures steadily rising Molly Malones is ideal for a laid back night out.

Decorated to create a rustic feel, it is a great establishment where you can relish the pub experience with some quality as well, something easier said than done. With a spacious patio, as well as a large dining area inside it suits all tastes. However, don’t be fooled by the guarantee of a space as Molly Malones usually fills up quite quickly, especially during the weekends.

The menu has a great variety, staying true to its pub roots. One of the best starters are the BBQ chicken wings, covered in the house BBQ sauce and served with an extra BBQ dip. The BBQ dip is one of the best I’ve tried, with its taste not overwhelming and dulling that of the chicken; they are in unity. Another tempting option is the fried brie, which is drizzled with red berry coulis and served on garlic pitta bread. Great for all those brie lovers out there and something that you tend not to be able to find in other restaurants. Another top starter are the spinach and ricotta parcels with the spinach and ricotta cheese wrapped in filo pastry and drizzled with a mustard dressing.

The main menu has a large variety of dishes ranging from burgers and pastas to steaks and Irish specialties all served with the Molly Malones touch. For those who like to share or just like variety the burger trio is a great choice, where one black angus beef burger is topped with bacon and cheese, a pork burger is topped with caramelised onions and a chicken burger with parmesan. On the steak front, there are the usual customers such as the steak Diane or the Dijon peppercorn steak, yet the one that cries out to be tried is the flame grilled bourbon steak topped with the Molly Malones bourbon sauce. The combination of the two is simply not to be missed. If this doesn’t suit but you still want some meat, the pork and rocket saltimbocca might appeal. The pork fillet is served with rocket, wrapped in prosciutto and served with a white wine cream sauce.

As this is an Irish pub, it is also worth a look at the Irish specialties. The signature steak and Guinness pie is a highlight. Thick juicy steak pieces combined with a Guinness gravy, topped with pastry and cooked in the oven. It truly is mouthwatering. However, the Irish gammon steak should not be overlooked either. This is cooked in a delicious creamy Irish whiskey and apple sauce, is yet another highlight to an already strong menu.

Molly Malones is great for a night out, especially on Sundays where a live band performs.
